The ASM Satellite workshops will be held the day before the ASM on the 21st May 13.00-17.00.
What is the ASM satellite workshop?
Annual Scientific Meetings (ASMs) will be held within a One Health concept specifically showcasing the knowledge and scientific advances in Joint Research Projects and Joint Integrative activities.
Each ASM will have a satellite workshop focusing on one of the priority areas for the OHEJP.
There are six themes to choose from:
- New and emerging diseases
- Rapid and innovative diagnostics
- Harmonisation and validation of diagnostics
- Antimicrobial resistance
- Molecular surveillance
- Digital innovation.
The chosen theme for the ASM Satellite Workshop 2019 will be Digital Innovation and Data Management.
Who is the satellite workshop for?
These satellite workshops will provide opportunities for post-doctoral researchers (priority will be given to early career researchers, ECRs) to present a short talk and discuss state-of-the-art. Invited speakers will also be asked to present longer talks on expert topics related to the sub-theme of the workshop.
The satellite workshop is open to all audiences to attend who are working in the area of One Health. Priority will be given to those who are registered as members of one of the OHEJP partner institutes.
Key Dates, Location and Duration
The Satellite Workshop will be held on Tuesday 21st May at Teagasc institute in Dublin, Ireland. This will take place the day before the OHEJP ASM 2019 commences and will last half a day in length.
