What is the One Health EJP, and what is the Stakeholder Conference about?
The One Health European Joint Programme (One Health EJP) is a partnership across the fields of public health, animal health and food safety. Funded under Horizon2020, the One Health EJP brings together 44 institutions across 22 European countries, including the MedVetNet Association
Since 2018, the One Health EJP funded 30 research projects, in which partner organisations come together to work across sectors and borders, tackling issues in the field of foodborne zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, and emerging threats. The common aim is to improve the detect-prevent-response capacity of European countries. The One Health EJP will end in 2023, and the Stakeholder Conference is an opportunity to give back to the community the developed solutions.
The Stakeholder Conference is aimed at disseminating the developed solutions, improved knowledge, and impact that the One Health EJP achieved during the five years of its existence.
Who should join the Stakeholder Conference?
Given the focus on outcomes and impact the target audience of the Stakeholder Conference is:
- Departments and executive agencies of the European Commission
- Agencies of the European Union
- One Health and other scientific initiatives
- Associations dealing with human, animal, and environmental health, being they from the private sector, citizen, farmers, or patients associations
- General and specialised press
We will soon publish a detailed programme with an exciting and interactive programme dealing with One Health issues, featuring speakers from the One Health EJP and keynotes from other high-level institutions.
To allow broad international participation, the Stakeholder Conference will be a hybrid event.
The conference will be held in the Comics Art Museum, which is located at 20 rue des Sables, in the centre of Brussels and within walking distance of many public transport links.
The Comics Art Museum has been honouring the creators and heroes of the 9th Art for 30 years. This Art Nouveau museum provides a fascinating venue to host our conference event.
We will soon open the registration.
There is no limit for on-line participants, however there limited availability of places for on-site participation. The One Health EJP takes the liberty of selecting the most relevant participants of on-site presence. In case you are not selected, you will be registered as on-line participant.
