Learn about NOVA project outputs – 11th April 2023

Q. Are you interested in the surveillance of existing and emerging foodborne diseases?

Q. Do you want to learn about new methods and tools?

The NOVA project has developed several novel outputs to advance modern surveillance and response techniques across European food chains. Their research focused on syndromic surveillance, spatial risk mapping and mathematical modelling.

Spatial risk mapping by the NOVA project has advanced the use of geographical mapping and analysis to improve the understanding of zoonotic disease risks between farm animals and humans. This research is essential for both animal and public health.

See the NOVA story map that explains their spatial risk mapping activities.
