This project involved the collaboration of 17 research partners across Europe, with project led by Sciensano.

Research partners worked together to use full-length genetic sequencing techniques to map and understand the drivers and reservoirs of antimicrobial resistance.

The FULL-FORCE project was designed to supply EU partners with a technological toolbox and training in Single Molecule, Real-Time sequencing. This project successfully enabled harmonisation of plasmid sequencing capacity across these European public health and veterinary institutes.

FULL-FORCE research has led to new discoveries in the fields of AMR detection and surveillance under the One Health approach.
